Tour of the Tropics is the re-branded Tour of the Tablelands cycling event which has been in operation since 1997. Tour of the Tropics came to life in August 2018 to be not only a sporting event for cyclists, but a festival of food, wine and music. Brandtree were approached to be in charge of the design for the exciting event.
Brandtree were the proud design sponsors of Tour of the Tropics 2018, AKA #TT18, creating everything from the logo and branding, merchandise, signage and website. Our design team championed the year long project and were thrilled to watch the event unfurl in August.
When doing the initial concepts for the Tour of the Tropics brand, we had one thing at the forefront of our minds: this brand had to be bold, inclusive and exciting. We wanted to create a timeless brand that would remain fresh and relevant for many years to come, as well as being a stand out amongst other cycling competitions in Australia.
At a glance
Various items of print media such as business cards, Sponsorship Kits, an Event Prospectus, flyers and brochures were created as means to promote the event.
Brandtree developed a vibrant, user friendly website to showcase the event and the many elements within it. We continuously updated the site and added additional pages and features as the event’s needs grew.
Signage for Tour of the Tropics included marquees, corflutes, car wraps and a finish line. Brandtree also managed the production of all of the products.
